In 2024, Sonar began as a simple experiment — a small initiative exploring digital products and services. Like many first-time founders, I was driven by ambition, curiosity, and a desire to build something meaningful. I quickly realized that building a company requires much more than technical knowledge — it requires clarity, direction, and a deep understanding of the problem you are trying to solve.

That first version of Sonar eventually came to an end, but the journey taught me valuable lessons about business, technology, and entrepreneurship.

In 2025, after completing my graduation in Data Science, I revisited the idea with a new perspective. Together with a group of talented friends and collaborators, I began helping startups, students, and aspiring entrepreneurs through guidance, technology support, networking, and strategic advice.

While working with different people, I noticed a common challenge.

There was no shortage of talent. There was a shortage of opportunities, guidance, and support systems.

As a Data Science student myself, I had experienced this reality firsthand. I saw talented individuals spend years developing technical skills, only to struggle finding opportunities that matched their capabilities. I met aspiring founders with promising ideas but limited access to mentorship and resources. I saw businesses searching for skilled people while skilled people struggled to find the right platform.

The more I explored the industry, the clearer the problem became. Technology was not the biggest challenge. Connecting talent, ideas, and opportunities was.

Towards the end of 2025 and throughout 2026, I dedicated significant time to understanding this problem. I attended industry events, met founders, professionals, business leaders, and technology experts, and studied the rapidly evolving landscape of Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Science, and Digital Transformation.

These experiences shaped what Sonar is becoming today.
